A hearty welcome back to all our scouts (and scoutmasters / counsel members) who attended camp yawgoog in Rockville, RI. Those lucky enough to attend learned the three point cheer, the infamous knock knock joke, that scoutmasters actually could play volleyball, and that Scoutmaster Moran actually may have magical rain making sorcery skills.
We’ve got a few pictures to show from the weeklong event, which can be seen here.

This just in – we have some pictures back from the baiting hollow campout (better late than never). The boys took advantage of the climbing, archery, rifle, swimming, boating, camping and craft merit training opportunities that baiting hollow offers. and returned from camp with a record number of merit badges. In addition, everyone came back with fond memories (and a few mosquito bites to boot).
Pictures can be viewed here.

Where: Camp Yawgoog, Rockville, Rhode Island
Founded in 1916 as “A Scout Adventureland Forever,” Camp Yawgoog is situated on 1800 acres of beautiful wilderness in Rockville, Rhode Island. Yawgoog is divided into three separate Camps: Three Point, Medicine Bow and Sandy Beach. All three camps share reservation program facilities. For example, the Nature Center is located in Camp Three Point, but is available to all Scouts on the Reservation. Each Camp has its own traditions – a color, songs and cheers – but all three Camps offer the same opportunities to Scouts. The atmosphere of healthy Camp competition is a unique aspect of the Yawgoog experience.
All Scouts must have a completed Class 3 Medical Exam Form to attend. Check out Yawgoogs website for additional forms and information. Also check out the unofficial Yawgoog site for additional info.
Last day for signup for Yawgoog is May 1st.
