Where: Harriman State Park, Bear Mountain, New York
A weekend of hiking, camping and backpacking fun! This was the first real cold weekend and the first snow of the season.
The scouts had a great time, and many of the newer assistant scoutmasters learned a thing or two about packing (jimg: I did!).
We camped nearby a rock cave, where many scouts chose to sleep in overnight. Those who planned ahead picked caves that had overhead cover - those who didn’t got a taste of snow in the wee hours of the morning.
